Rainfall in Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, and Son La is estimated at 250-350mm. Heavy rains are forecast for days, changing the structure of rocks in the mountains, posing a high possibility of flash floods and landslides. Particular attention should be paid to these provinces near Thanh Hoa and Nghe An.
Water levels in rivers will also rise, with most of them forecasted to reach 1-4 m, especially in central and upstream Ma River and Ca River.
