There are 43 bicycle parking locations such as Ham Nghi, Nguyen Hue, Vo Van Kiet, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Pham Hong Thai, Nguyen Thi Nghia, Pham Ngu Lao, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Duan, Ton Duc Thang, and Le Thanh Ton. Every station has 10-20 bicycles, each with smart lock and GPS navigation function.
Users can top-up via bank accounts, credit cards, or pay directly to use them. The price proposed for this pilot is 10,000 VND/hour, which is equivalent to 43 US cents.
After assessing the efficiency of the system in the 12-month trial phase, the municipal authorities will consider establishing other connected public transport systems.
In the future, the municipal Department of Transport will research on opening a bicycle lane or widening streets for the bikes.
