The biggest issue businesses pointed were access to credit and tax. The city’s textile, embroidery and knitting association highlighted the need to bolster support industries and attract investment into a BOT wastewater treatment system. Businesses also called for heavier penalties against counterfeit and pirated goods. The event also discussed difficulties in raising the minimum wage and to sign labour contracts after one-month probation periods.
The municipal authorities listened to the comments and proposals and called on city departments and agencies to look at solutions.
