Hau Giang to face salinity
VTV.vn - After the Lunar New Year, localities in the Mekong Delta face the risk of drought and salinity. In Hau Giang province, although salinity levels on the river branches are still low, the risk is still very high.

According to the Irrigation Department of Hau Giang province, the highest salinity concentration recorded in the province is 0.14% yesterday in Long My district.

Hau Giang has not suffered any damage due to drought and salt water intrusion, but according to the forecast for April and May, the most severe time for salt water intrusion, 45,000 to 50 thousand hectares of land, mainly land for farming, would be affected.  Hau Giang has implemented many solutions, especially regularly measuring salinity levels.
