VTV.vn - The elevated section of belt road No.2 from Nga Tu Vong to Nga Tu So was opened to traffic at 6am this morning November 9, contributing to reducing traffic pressure on the surrounding roads.

The elevated section is dedicated to automobiles only with a maximum speed of 80km per hour.

The Hanoi municipal People’s Committee commenced the construction of the elevated section of the belt road No.2 from Vinh Tuy Bridge to Nga Tu So and the expansion of the road from Vinh Tuy Bridge to Nga Tu Vong in April 2018.

The project was carried out under the build-transfer (BT) model and was completed three months ahead of schedule.

The main part of the elevated section measures 19m in width while the leading path measures 7m in width.

The elevated section is expected to ease prolonged traffic congestion in Truong Chinh Street and the Nga Tu So intersection.
