The literature tests will take place on the morning of the first exam day while foreign language will take place on the afternoon of the first day and the mathematics tests to be held on the morning of the second exam day.
Regarding foreign language tests, candidates can choose one of the following languages: English, French, German, Japanese, and Korean. In particular, candidates are allowed to register for a different foreign language exam, from the one they are studying in junior high school.
The mathematics and literature tests will be in the form of essays with a duration of 120 minutes, while the foreign language test will be in the form of a multiple-choice test with a duration of 60 minutes.
According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the city has about 129,000 students to graduate from the ninth grade. Of which, 104,000 students are expected to apply for grade 10, an increase of 14,000 students compared to the previous school year and about 12,100 students will enter vocational schools.
