Last night (October 9), the rehearsal for the program "Hanoi - The Epic of the Streets" took place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Hanoi. This is one of the key programs produced by Vietnam Television (VTV) to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). The program was meticulously executed by the team of VTV’s Entertainment Program Production Department over a long period of time.
Leaders of Hanoi and VTV, along with the team from the Entertainment Program Production Department, attends the rehearsal on the night of October 9.

With three segments: "The Battlefield in the City," "Nine Years with the Heart of the Capital," and "The Song of Hanoi," the program "Hanoi - The Epic of the Streets" tells the historical stories of Hanoi and features meetings with witnesses from 70 years ago, and even further back to nearly 80 years ago when the national resistance began.
Theprogram's well-done reports featured offer realistic and objective perspectives on the heroic and brave resistance of the entire nation. Many segments evoke deep emotions, making viewers reflect on the painful yet heroic period of wartime.
"The Epic of the Streets" will be a program rich in music and art, reminiscing about the proud and heroic days of the capital’s history.
Not only does the program present valuable documentary footage, but it also impresses with diverse and unique artistic performances. Music serves as the emotional core, weaving through the program, making the audience feel as if they are watching a historical film—heroic, yet also romantic. The staging combines the flow of music, set designs, and performances by a large number of artists to create an emotional and profound "epic of the streets," reflecting the rich history of Hanoi.

A highlight of the program is the team'sinnovative and creative use of 3D Mapping combined with hologram technology. With the image of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel as the main backdrop, important historical milestones were recreated in an almost surreal manner, engaging both the auditory and visual senses. This resulted in special visual effects and a variety of settings, from Hanoi’s streets during fierce battles to the vast mountainous resistance bases, to the jubilant scenes of the flag and flower-bedecked capital on the triumphant day of liberation.
With the addition of modern projection technology, the artistic performances become even grander and more emotionally charged..
Renowned artists such as People’s Artist Dang Duong, Trong Tan, People’s Artist Viet Hoan, People’s Artist Tan Minh, Hong Nhung, Pham Thu Ha, Bao Tram, Ta Quang Thang, Dong Hung, and others will take part in "Hanoi - The Epic of the Streets." The program will take viewers from the past—through the hardships of the struggle for independence—to the present, as the entire nation works together fo a prosperous and happy future.
The program's unique and creative stage design reflects the continuity of today's generation in maintaining peace, fostering creativity, and preserving the cultural essence of Hanoi’s streets.
