Specifically, such vehicles, excluding public buses and school buses, will be banned from operating inside the boundaries of the following streets: Hang Giay, Dong Xuan, Hang Duong, Hang Ngang, Hang Dao, Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Dau, Tran Nhat Duat and Nguyen Huu Huan.
They are also prohibited from the streets of Ly Quoc Su, Nha Tho, Nha Chung, Quang Trung (the section from Trang Thi to Nha Chung), Au Trieu, Bao Khanh and Hang Trong, as well as the alleys of Hang Hanh and Bao Khanh.
The ban is expected to take effect in March during the morning and afternoon rush hours, specifically 6:30 am to 8:30 am and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
To support residents and visitors, the city will organise four transit points on Ba Trieu Street, Tran Nhat Duat Street, Phung Hung Street and Dong Xuan Market.
The ban will be piloted for six months.
