VTV.vn - Hanoi’s Department of Health has established 65 mobile disease-prevention teams in preparation for any potential Zika virus outbreak.

These teams can be scrambled and on-site within 30 minutes of an outbreak. 62 local general hospitals are tasked with keeping a close watch on their patients in Hanoi; and communities across the city are being encouraged to monitor residents returning from overseas, especially from Zika-hit countries.

Hanoi, like the rest of the country, has no reported cases of Zika virus. Six suspected dengue-fever samples were tested, producing negative results. 59 countries and territories have recorded Zika cases according to the World Health Organisation. Some foreigners, after leaving Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia have reported to have tested positive for Zika.
