The nonprofit programme is jointly implemented by the HCYU of Hanoi and the Hanoi chapter of the Vietnam Youth Federation, in coordination with organisations, including Global Shapers Hanoi Hub, Global Shapers Ho Chi Minh City Hub, Canavi, Accesstrade and G.A.P Institute.
In the campaign, the HCYU of Hanoi focuses on connecting with partners and employers to offer employment opportunities, focusing primarily on jobs ready immediately after the disease is under control, casual jobs and home-based jobs, with the aim of helping the community and young people revive their economic condition during and after the pandemic period in a timely and sustainable manner.
The organising committee hopes that the programme will support and share the difficulties of many workers around the country, thereby spreading its positive meaning in the community.
Within the framework of the campaign, the HCYU of Hanoi also introduced the programme “Sentimental Hanoi”, which will present 8,000 free sets of meal a day to students, workers and the disadvantaged. This is part of the four contents of the “I love Hanoi” movement (Green Hanoi, Young Hanoi, Civilised Hanoi and Sentimental Hanoi), which is currently being implemented by the municipal youth union and youth federation.
The meal sets will be delivered to recipients directly at their accommodation or via gathering points across the city from April 13 to 30. The programme can be extended depending on the situation regarding COVID-19 and regulations on epidemic prevention and control.
