Co-organised by the Kinh te & Do thi (Economics and Urban) Newspaper, the Hanoi Elderly Photographers Club and the Centre for Scientific and Cultural Activities of the Temple of Literature, the event is part of activities marking the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi and the 66th anniversary of the capital city's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2020), as well as welcoming the Hanoi municipal Party Committee's 17th congress.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Municipal People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha emphasisedthat the exhibition "Hanoi in me" will enrich Hanoi lovers’ perspectives of the capital city. The seventy photos on display truly depict Hanoi and its people, elegant and creative in the process of building a rich, beautiful, civilized and modern capital, she added.
Organising the exhibition at the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam will contribute to promoting the image of the capital, helping visitorsunderstand better the culture and lifestyle of the Hanoi people, especially the best efforts of the Party committees, authorities, fronts, unions and people of the capital in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic from the beginning of 2020 until now.
With 70 candid and lively photos, the 15th "Hanoi in me" exhibition is divided into three thematic areas which are Hanoi - dynamic, creative, rich in traditional identity, friendly and in the process of integration; Hanoi - green, civilized and modern city; and Efforts of the government and people of Hanoi to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
The exhibition runs until October 14.
