The Hanoi Department of Education and Training officially announced the graduation rate on July 28.
The city saw more than 101,000 candidates register for the high school graduation exam, which took place on July 7 and 8, marking an increase of more than 22,000 candidates compared to the previous academic year.
By August 2, high schools in the city are scheduled to complete the issuance of temporary high school graduation certificates for candidates. After that, high schools will return school reports and original certificates of graduation for candidates.
According to the latest information from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the city will not hold the second phase of the high school graduation exam, which was expected to take place on August 6 and 7, due to the ongoing complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The city will consider giving a graduation bye to eligible students if they meet certain conditions according to regulations.
