This was announced by the Vietnam Cinema Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Tuesday.
Directed by Le Van Kiet, the movie tells the story of a former gang leader from the Mekong Delta whose daughter is kidnapped and her quest for revenge and attempt to rescue her daughter. "Furie" quickly became a blockbuster hit in Vietnam after premiering in February.
Following its success, it was shown at several cinemas in the US and Canada before being picked up by Netflix.
