The February competition of Quarter I, Road to Olympia Mount 26 featured four contestants: Nguyen Duc Anh (Nam Sach High School, Hai Phong), Do Duong Minh Quan (High School for the Gifted - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Hai Trung Hieu (FPT Lower & Upper Secondary School, Hai Phong), and Pham Bao Nam (Luong The Vinh High School for the Gifted, Dong Nai).
Right from the Warm-up round, Nguyen Duc Anh and Minh Quan quickly took the lead, with 50 points each, while Bao Nam earned 30 points.
In the Overcome Obstacle round, the mystery keyword consisted of five letters. In the first horizontal clue, a math question, no contestant scored a point. In the second clue, Duc Anh, Minh Quan, and Bao Nam all gave the correct answer “UNESCO”. In the third clue, Minh Quan rang the bell quickly and accurately identified the obstacle as Tug of War, taking the lead with 100 points. At that point, Duc Anh had 60 points, while Bao Nam had 40.
The Speed-up round further heightened the tension as Bao Nam achieved perfect scores twice, while Duc Anh earned maximum points once. After this round, the gap between the contestants narrowed significantly. Minh Quan temporarily led with 130 points, Duc Anh and Bao Nam were tied at 120 points, and Trung Hieu had 10 points.
Entering the Finish round, Minh Quan selected three 20-point questions and placed the Star of Hope on the last one, but he was unsuccessful. He lost points on the very first question to Bao Nam and ended the round with 90 points.
Bao Nam began his Finish round with 140 points, choosing three 20-point questions. The Dong Nai student only scored on the second question, yet he still maintained the lead with 160 points.
Duc Anh opted for the 20-30-30 point package but failed to earn any points. Meanwhile, Bao Nam had a chance to answer the final question but he failed.
In the final turn, Trung Hieu chose three 30-point questions and placed the Star of Hope on the last one. He scored on the first questio, then let Duc Anh to claim full points on the decisive question.
In the end, Nguyen Duc Anh (Nam Sach High School, Hai Phong) won the laurel wreath in the February match of Quarter I, Road to Olympia Mount 26, with 150 points, officially securing his place in the Quarter I final.
Pham Bao Nam (Luong The Vinh High School for the Gifted, Dong Nai) finished second with 145 points. Do Duong Minh Quan (High School for the Gifted - VNU Ho Chi Minh City) and Nguyen Hai Trung Hieu (FPT Lower & Upper Secondary School, Hai Phong) tied for third place.
