Notably, the city has attracted more than 257 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI). Recently, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority granted investment certificates to two worker housing projects in the Đình Vũ Cát Hải economic zone by Pegatron Vietnam and Universal Scientific Industrial, with a total investment of 86 million USD.
They're one of 14 projects with new pledges and additional funds in Hai Phong since the beginning of the year, raising the city's total FDI to 19 billion USD. In addition, the city also received over 87 million USD in domestic investment in the first two months for three projects.
