The two concrete-reinforced bridges were constructed to replace the previously used floating bridges and aim at completing the transport network in the southern part of the city. The two bridges are over 250 metres in length and 12 metres in width. They were built with the total cost of over 7.4 million USD from the Central and city budget. The bridges are expected to shorten travel time between Hai Phong and Thai Binh province, and other localities in the region as a whole, thus contributing to socio-economic development in the project area.
