Ecuador's president Lenin Moreno stripped Assange of asylum status on Thursday, allowing UK police to arrest him at the London embassy. Since the arrest, a huge number of cyber attacks have been directed at Ecuadorian government websites from groups that support the WikiLeaks founder.
The foreign ministry, the central bank, the president's office, the internal revenue service, and several ministries and universities were hit the hardest. However, none of those institutions reported any information theft or data loss. Ecuador has accepted Israel's help in fending off the cyber attacks.
