On the occasion of the Chol-chnam-Thmay festival, the Buddha bathing ceremony in the family pays tribute to Buddha, while offerings of dishes, confectioneries, and fruits express gratitude and best wishes to parents and grandparents.
From early morning, thousands of Buddhists gathered at Luông Ba Sắc Pagoda, My Xuyen District, Soc Trang Province. Buddhists used fragant water for ritual bathing. People pray for merit and luck in the new year.
This activity is happening all over 92 pagodas in Soc Trang province.
