These two animals are listed as endangered species of group 1B and 2B in the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List of Threatened Species. They are rarely found in forests in Tay Nguyen.
Earlier, the two had been caged by the locals in Cẩm Trung Town, Cẩm Xuyên Province before being handed to forest rangers.
