Greek Prime Minister promises to change after election

VTV.vn - 51-year-old Kyriakos Mitsotakis has been elected as Greek Prime Minister after his New Democracy Party won over the left-wing Syriza party at the election on Sunday.

The new Prime Minister announced that he would act aggressively to bring his country back to its growth trajectory. At his swearing-in ceremony on Monday, he said that his priority is to create more jobs.

Apart from that, he promised to lower taxes, have greater privatization of public services and plans to renegotiate a deal with Greece's creditors that will allow more money to be reinvested into the country.

He plans to bring new vitality to the economy after years of struggling, reforming and tightening spending in return for financial loans.
