Government restructured

The proposal maintains 18 ministries and 4 ministerial-level agencies. The prime minister also said that following the National Assembly’s resolution on government structure, the government would issue a decree on structure, powers and functions of ministries and ministerial-level agencies to reduce intermediate steps and simplify operations. The government will also plan to establish organisations to manage and control state-owned enterprises in implementing the 12th Communist Party of Vietnam Congress Resolution.
