Government agrees to master plan for airports to 2030

According to the master plan, the whole country will have 30 airports. Of the figure, 14 will be international airports, 14 will be domestic airports, and the remaining 2 airports, namely Thanh Son and Bien Hoa, have been assigned by the government to further study the possibility of cargo exploitation and the conversion of military airports into dual-use airports.

The opinions of the Politburo and the Resolution of the 15th National Assembly on the National Master Plan for the period of 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, must be studied carefully to ensure national security and defence.
