GDP expected to grow 6.8% in 2016
VTV.vn - In the recently published 2016 economic prospects report, the National Financial Supervisory Commission predicts that Vietnam's economy will grow by 6.7-6.8% this year.

Continued efforts to restructure the banking system and clear bad debts will go towards strengthening financial sector and improving access to credit for businesses. Exports this year are likely to grow as global trade and the domestic economy are predicted to improve. The free trade agreements that will take effect in 2016 will help expand export markets, especially for textiles, footwear and agro-forestry-seafood produce. The implementation of new laws such as the Law on Enterprises, and the amended Law on Investment will also contribute to the improvement of the business environment.
