The traditional mid-autumn festival will feature many activities such as a lantern parade, lion dancing, folk game performances and competitions, calligraphy, and Dong Ho folk painting, in addition to art performances and mini games for children.
The highlight of the festival is the lantern parade with the participation of nearly 400 children from districts and schools across Hanoi.
The procession is scheduled to depart from the Vietnam Arts and Media Exhibition Centre at No.2 Hoa Lu, headthrough Le Dai Hanh Street to the end of Ba Trieu-Dai Co Viet Street, and then return to the Vietnam Arts and Media Exhibition Centre.
The procession will also include dragon dancers, drum artists, dancing groups and martial arts groups, among others.
Children will also have opportunities to participate in folk games including a tug of war, paper masks, rabbit lanterns, hide-and-seek, clay crackers, and others.
In addition, a mid-autumn trade fair will open from 9am – 9pm during the festival, showcasing more than 50 pavilions selling Vietnamese products and specialties from across the country.
