he Đan Lai ethnic group is one of the smallest of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups, with a population of only over 3000 people living scattered across five communes of Con Cuong District, in the northern central province of Nghe An. In order to sustainably ensure the development of this ethnic group, The National Fund for Vietnamese Children provided free health checks and medicines to all Dan Lai children under 16 years old. This is part of the government's project to strengthen children's health and promote the lives of this small ethnic group.
Existing illnesses during the examination will be treated as soon as possible. This is one of the first activities of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children. Each Dan Lai child will have health records and they will be monitored over the 10 years of the project.
