State President Tran Dai Quang stated the development in an interview with the French news agency AFP ahead of President Francois Hollande’s State visit to Vietnam in September. The state president said the two countries could support each other on United Nations’ peacekeeping missions, ensuring maritime and over-flight security, safety and freedom, and addressing issues related to cyber security and non-traditional security threats, he said, stressing the need to build a common vision on defence co-operation to make it more effective.
