Forest fires continue to affect central region

Another fire was reported in a 30-year-old pine tree forest in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue Province's Huong Thuy District. It occurred around 7 pm last night.

According to initial estimates, around 900m2 of pine forests burned down, caused by local people burning incense in a nearby cemetary. The incident was quickly dealt with by local residents. People’s awareness in fire prevention and forest protection are being raised.
