Floods threaten dykes in Binh Dinh

VTV.vn - The flooding situation continues to worsen in Bình Định Province. By late afternoon on Monday, the locality had recorded nearly 26,900 households that were inundated at 0.5 to 1 metre.

Landslides have occurred in many areas in the province, and may continue in the coming days. According to the steering committee for natural disaster prevention and search and rescue of Binh Dinh Province, landslides have affected over 700 metres of dyke, 1.3 kilometres of field channel and 5 bridges in the locality. Seven big reservoirs in the province have reached 86% capacity. Dykes along La Tinh Lake, Phu My District and Kon Lake, Phu Cat District are at high risk due to already being damaged.
