The province has released water from seven reservoirs in order to hold more water. However, the water release and heavy rains have caused eight districts and 400 households in other towns and cities in Binh Đinh to be flooded. The most severe affected localities have been Tuy Phuoc and Phu Cat districts.
In addition, some roads have been left a metre under water, leading to traffic problems, while other areas have also experienced serious landslides.
