Flooding risks remain high in northern region

Widespread flooding could continue in low-lying and riverside areas for at least two days, and along the Bui and Tich rivers until early next week. 

Heavy rain is expected to shift towards northern mountainous and midland areas on Thursday night, with some places receiving over 150 millimetres. Rain could persist in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An through Friday before shifting southwards towards Hue.

Intense rainfall could trigger urban and low-lying areas, landslides, and flash floods.
