Assistance came from Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong who gave 100,000 CNY ($15,143 USD), the Red Cross Society of China who gave $50,000 USD, and the Chinese Business Association in Vietnam who gave $110,000 USD.
Many organizations and individuals from throughout the country have given assistance to locals in flood-stricken areas.
VNRC Vice President Tran Quoc Hung said that his organization will carry out various activities to educate the local people about measures that need to be taken to respond to natural disasters. The flood victims will receive support via VNRC's programs and projects.
