Thanks to the compensation for the environmental incident, fishing activities have resumed quickly in the province.
By the end of August, more than 42 million US dollars were delivered to over 46,000 fishermen, which is a 99.6% disbursement of the total compensation amount.
The province has proposed to ministries to consider investing in upgrading fishing ports and dredging Thuan An Seaport to support offshore fishing.
