Fishermen rescued off Da Nang coast
VTV.vn - Fishing boat DNa 90189 TS was successfully rescued by the Region 2 Maritime Search and Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Danang City on Friday morning.
The boat carried 6 crew members, led by captain Pham Van Xinh. While operating in Paracel island waters, the boat malfunctioned as the crew nearly ran out of food and water. Vessel SAR412 was dispatched and successfully rescued the crew at 10pm on Thursday. Captain Pham Van Xinh is said to have rescued many fishermen during Typhoon ChanChu in 2006.
