Fatherland Front Presidium convenes 4th conference

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and VFF President Tran Thanh Man emphasised that the regional and global situationswitnessed complicated developments in 2020.

In the country, serious natural disasters and epidemics occurred, especially the Covid-19 pandemic and damages caused by floods in the central provinces, he noted, adding that, thanks to efforts and determination of the entire Party, people, and the army, social security and the people's lives have been guaranteed while defence and security has been maintained.

The VFF has focused on improving its methods of operation and strengthening its organisational structure, as well as promoting communication work and its central role in consolidating and upholding the strength of national solidarity, while encouraging the public to take an active part in socio-economic development and poverty reduction, the VFF President said.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and commented on the draft Report on the VFF’s performance in 2020, the VFF coordination programme in 2021, and a number of draft thematic reports.
