Facebook corrects mistake about Spratly and Paracel archipelagoes
VTV.vn - Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications received reports that maps used by Facebook to support advertisers. It had listed the Spratly and Paracel archipelagoes as territories of China.
In response to this incident, the ministry sent a request to Facebook to correct this mistake and return Vietnam's sovereignty to these islands. On July 2nd, the mistake was corrected. A representative of Facebook affirmed that this incident was a technical mistake and was not politically motivated.
