VTV.vn - An exhibition showcasing artworks by late famous Hungarian sculptor Farkas Aladár on Vietnam’s land and people opened in Székesfehérvá City, Hungary, on February 16.

The exhibition was the first in a series of activities co-organised by the Hungary – Vietnam Friendship Association, the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary, Hungarian local authorities and functional agencies to celebrate the 70th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (February 3, 1950-2020) and Vietnam’s 45th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-2020).

The photos and sculptures on display featured President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam’s national resistance war against the US.

In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyen Tien Thuc expressed his thanks for the warm sentiments and valuable support of the Hungarian Government and people, as well as Hungarian war veterans in particular, for Vietnam during the country’s anti-US war.

He highly appreciated the role played by Hungary-Vietnam Friendship Association, Vietnamese students and the Overseas Vietnamese community in Hungary in promoting the bilateral ties.

The exhibition will run until early March this year.
