The Covid-19 pandemic has seriously affected businesses in Vietnam in general and with foreign direct investment (FDI) businesses in particular, making it difficult for businesses to access customers, continue the supply chain without disruptionand retain labourers and workers, which has incurred additional costs for the prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic.
According to the director of MoFA's Department of Foreign Affairs, Tran Thanh Huan, this year is a difficult year for everyone, the epidemic situation has become complicated, causing the activities of businesses to stall. The State and Government of Vietnam have been trying to find measures to control the epidemic situation and help businesses return to normal operations.
At this meeting, Antonino Tedesco - Trade Counselor of the Italian Embassy in Vietnam said that currently, Italian and European projects are investing especially in Vietnam and in particular Southeast Asia as a whole.
Therefore, the Embassy as well as the Italian business sector in Vietnam hope that the Vietnamese government will implement the vaccine strategy in the best way so that investment and trade activities can take place for the better.
