EU- Vietnam FTA unaffected by potential UK exit

Besides the potential effect of a UK exit from the European Union on UK-Vietnam two-way investment and trade, many people are also wondering how it will affect the Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and Vietnam. Ambassador Bruno Angelet, Head of the EU Delegation in Vietnam addressed the questions at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon in Hanoi.

Concluding the press conference, Ambassador Bruno expressed his personal opinion that he, along with his colleagues will try their best to call for more EU investment in Vietnam  in the near future, as well as hope that  FTA between Vietnam and the EU will take effect next year according to plan.
