Crew bodies and black boxes of crashed CASA-212 found

VTV.vn - The bodies of two more crew members of the crashed CASA 212. The two black boxes of the plane have also been found.

The two bodies were found at the depth of 50 to 60 metres under water alone with the black boxes, 26 nautical miles south-southeast of Bạch Long Vỹ Island.

"At 12 a.m on Monday, we found the bodies of the two crew members and the black boxes including a flight data recorder and a cockpit voice recorder." - Vice Admiral PHAM NGOC MINH, Deputy Chief, General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The authorities are working to figure out the identity of the two crew members.

"The rescue team has searched deeply into water. All forces have made all efforts to find the other crew members." - Colonel PHAM KIM HAU, Vice Commander, Vietnam Coast Guard.

"The two black boxes will help us find out the reason for the crash and help devise ways to avoid incidents in future flights." - Major General NGUYEN HUU CHI, Vice Commander, Vietnam People's Air Defence and Air Force

The defence ministry and the Civil Aviation Authority will work with the Airbus Group to pinpoint the reason for the crash. Over the next days, the search for the other missing crew members will be continued.
