Enhancing regional ties in banking, tourism

VTV.vn - The “Four countries, One destination” conference kicked off in Yangon yesterday under the theme “connecting tourism and expanding cooperation in the banking sector” between Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam led the Vietnamese delegation to the event. At the meeting, the central banks of four countries discussed ways to promote technical cooperation in monetary policy, financial markets, and banking regulations, and enabling favourable conditions for counterpart banks to operate in each country. The four countries signed an agreement on enhancing cooperation in banking and tourism. Senior officials of tourism industries from the four countries also discussed the connectivity aspects of tourist destinations and the development of tourism.
