Election day of 14th National Assembly announced

NA Chairman and President of the National Electoral Council Nguyen Sinh Hung chaired the announcement ceremony.

Accordingly, the election of the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2016-2021 term will be held on Sunday, May 22nd, 2016.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Hung said that January 6th, 1946 marked the country’s first National Assembly Election day. After 70 years, the 14th National Assembly election has been scheduled, with the aim to select competent representatives to work for the will and benefit of the people.

The NA Chairman also urged ministries, leaders of government agencies and central people’s committees to prepare for the elections to ensure their success.
