A number of gas stations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh are currently not selling or are limiting the sale of petrol, causing frustration among people.
To deal with this, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, along with relevant ministries and branches, are making concerted efforts to find solutions to stabilize gasoline prices.
On the afternoon of November 4, the Ministry of Industry and Trade agreed with the Ministry of Finance on updating costs to be incurred in the next petrol price management period.
At the same time, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has directed commercial banks to consider and deal with petroleum enterprises that have had difficulty accessing capital. Meanwhile, unscheduled inspections are being conducted to determine shortcomings and limitations to overcome current issues and stabilize gasoline prices.
