The contest gathered 12 rice products from 6 participating enterprises, and were judged based on uniformity and texture after cooking.
Notably, ST25 rice did not make it to the top 3. Coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively were ST24 rice and Loc Troi 28 rice. As for sticky rice, the top spot went to A Sào Sticky rice.
TBR39 fragrant rice will represent Vietnam at the World's Best Rice Contest, which is part of this year's World Rice Conference.
