For the first time ever, the fan-giving ceremony, which is a special ceremony reserved for the Royal Palace for this occasion, will be recreated at the Imperial Citadel.
In addition, an exhibition of the fan collection of artisan Dương Văn Đoàn will also be held, including a 2.4-meter-long fan that is engrained with a poem by King Lê Hiến Tông that dates back to 1503, as well as a number of fans of kings and queens that have been recreated based on historical records.
Visitors can also learn about the unique customs of the Dragon Boat Festival, like the customs of "killing insects", wearing five-color amulets, and picking medicinal herbs.
