Taking lessons from previous disease outbreaks, Lao Cai province has developed a new disease prevention model, which starts from the household level in villages.
Without costing too much, the small monitoring model has spread to 164 communes of Lao Cai. With this model, epidemics can be monitored starting at the household level. This is an important factor for Lao Cai to improve the quality of their health sector.
