So far, eight ministries and 23 localities have posted disbursement rates of over 60% including six ministries and six localities reporting rates of over 70%.
However, there remain 29 ministries and ministry-level agencies and six localities have low disbursement rates of below 35%. In particular, 15 ministries and ministry-level agencies and one locality have disbursed less than 15% of the capital from the year’s plan.
The disbursement progress of public investment has seen positive changes since the end of July thanks to drastic directions and measures from the Government and Government Working Groups in a bid to fuel the economy.
In an effort to accelerate the disbursement of public investment in the remaining months of the year, the Ministry of Finance has proposed that the Prime Ministertransfer capital from projects with the disbursement rates of below 60% to urgent projects.
