VTV.vn - The Government's Resolution No. 120 on the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta was issued in November 2017 to respond to climate change.

It's considered to be the biggest decision that's ever been made as it covers an area that occupies 12% of the total area of Vietnam and accounts for 19% of its population.

According to the Resolution, besides investing in irrigation and transport infrastructure, the most important task now is to help farmers change their production methods to respond to climate change.

In fact, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has spent a total of 664 million USD for the management of water resources, flooding, saltwater intrusion, and landslides in the Mekong Delta.
