The former revolutionaries gave their opinions on a number of issues including the fight against corruption and wastefulness, Party building, and policies for national contributors.
They also suggested that the Government pay more attention to the preservation of historical relic sites to educate the younger generations about national traditions.
The Government official said that there are approximately 120,000 former revolutionaries. He expressed his gratitude for the sacrifices of the former imprisoned soldiers, affirming that the Party and State always pay great care to national contributors.
He also spoke highly of the opinions raised by the former revolutionaries, adding that the authorised agencies will consider providing appropriate policies towards former revolutionary prisoners.
Deputy PM Binh noted that the proposal concerning the establishment of an association of former revolutionaries will be submitted to the Government and more detailed polices towards former revolutionaries will be regulated in the law on the association in the future.
