General Phan Van Giang visited former Defence Ministers of Pham Van Tra and Ngo Xuan Lich, former Chairman of the General Department of Politics Pham Thanh Ngan, Lieutenant General Dang Quan Thuy - former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and former Deputy Minister of Defence Phan Thu.
Minister of Defence Phan Van Giang informed the former military leaders on the achievements of the Vietnamese army in 2021, expressing his wish that the former leaders would continue to contribute their comments towardsbuilding a stronger army.
On the occasion, General Phan Van Giang also visited families of late Party General Secretary and Chairman of the General Department of Politics Le Kha Phieu, late President and Minister of Defence Le Duc Anh, late Defence Ministers: General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Van Tien Dung, General Doan Khue, General Phung Quang Thanh, and others.
* General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security chaired a regular meeting of the public security force on January 26, under which he asked for drastic actions to ensure safety and security during the Tet holiday.
*On January 26, Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac visited and presented Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries and needy people in Quang Nam Province.
He handed over 1 billion VND to Quang Nam Province to support 1,000 needy households across the province. In addition, 268 gifts were presented to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people in Bac Tra My District while 100 gifts were handed over to needy people in Tien Phuoc District.
