Declined tuna price affects fishermen

by VTV424 April 2019 Last updated at 15:23 PM

VTV.vn - It’s now the tuna fishing season and many fishermen are seeing good catches. However, tuna prices have declined. Vietnam’s major tuna markets including the US, Israel, and Japan, are also reducing imports.

Good catches leading to low prices is a common problem facing the fishing industry. Thus value chains of catching and distributing tuna are being developed. However, most fishermen are still selling their catches to small traders, so tuna prices depend a lot on traders.
